Installation

For beginners, we recommend using the Git integration built into your editor. If you however prefer working from the command line (terminal), you can of course also install Git on your machine and use it from the terminal.

Windows

Git for Windows provides an easy to install and use Git on Windows devices.

Unix

Unix-based operating systems (Ubuntu, MacOS) often have Git installed by default. If not, we can use our operating system's package manager to install the program.
