This guide is from last year.

In this guide we are going to build an app that fetches programs from a DHIS2 instance and represents them to the user. The app is going to use the DHIS2 Application Platform which unifies application architecture, simplifies our build pipeline and standardizes development within the DHIS2 ecosystem.

Learning goals

  • Installing and using @dhis2/cli to initialize an app
  • Add a simple component that fetches data from a DHIS2 instance and visualizes fetched data using @dhis2/ui components
  • Building a production ready bundled app
  • Publishing the app to the DHIS2 App Hub
  • Installing the app on a local DHIS2 instance

Prerequisites

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React familiarity
  • Yarn
